She's in recovery. Maybe she spent a lot of her kids' childhoods in active addiction — smoking marijuana, drinking, even cocaine. Now her kids are grown, she's starting to have grandkids, and that maternal pull is rising up: "Gosh, I wish I would have been that for my children growing up."
She wants to spend a lot of time with her grandchildren and give them the safety she wasn't able to provide her own kids. There's grief there. Remorse. She was in that addiction world, and now she's recovered and doing a lot better — but at the same time she doesn't know where she fits.
Release her heart walls + the trapped emotions that built them + her addictive heart energy. The walls were built young to keep traumatic memories at bay — but they're also what keeps her stuck and disconnected. The addictive heart energy keeps her closed off from receiving more.
Why she needs it: a better relationship with her grandkids. A better relationship with herself. Grace, mercy, and forgiveness for her own backstory — the childhood that got her into addiction in the first place.
She hasn't been able to move on from her divorce. She's trying to figure out who she is now — without the labels of mother, without the labels of being her ex's wife. She's doing the mirror work, the self-healing, building a healthier love of herself.
When it comes to relationship, she feels there's more love out there, but she hasn't found it yet. She started writing down the attributes of an ideal relationship and started dating. No one has hit those marks yet. She's beginning to identify what her ideal mate would actually look like.
Healing the mother wound + a new sense of safety in her body and nervous system. She didn't feel safe and protected growing up, so she's looking for that feeling now from the inside. Internal baseline of safety lets her release the helicopter-mother control without feeling exposed.
Inner work on the core wounds + clarity on her ideal mate. Going back to her past, releasing what's still active. And until she knows what she's actually seeking in a partner, she'll keep meeting near-misses.
He just can't find the right one. Every woman he falls in love with doesn't return the same love — and they end up leaving him. He's fresh off the latest breakup, taking a break to figure out what's going on.
He was really down on himself, saying he needed a break — couldn't handle one more. The next one's gotta be the one.
Find self-love + better boundaries + self-respect. Until he loves himself, he can't recognize or receive the equally-matched love he says he wants. Boundaries protect against repeating the same heartbreak pattern.
Stop searching for broken women he's trying to fix. That's the pattern producing the heartbreak. Find someone equally matched to his energy — a partner who can meet him.
